monk problem! - Guild Wars Forums

lol... this may sound funny... or i could sound a noob
but this is serious matter for me!

i worked my monk/ranger char to lvl 20 and finally got to ascension part. i got to fight my mirror...
the problem is he is much more powerful and i tried switching skills & attributes... basically tried everything yet i coulndn't beat him nor could come close beating him
my bow is 15-28 yet only deals 10-25 dmg while he deals 30-45...
and my hp dropping by 1 whenever i go out to fight...
something's wrong here...
anyone has suggestion how to beat, plz tell...
my armors may be weak... but i'd say up to par

and also tried switching weapons but just cannot get high dmg

if i where you i would equip healing breeze (he doesnt use that)
and for the rest all kind of nature rituals (wich are useless becouse you get the bonusses too)

then while he does the rituals, you can damage him enough to get a nice headstart.

Theres some good series of posts on this in the quests forum I believe. However just to answer your question off the top of my head I'll throw out somethings for you to think about.

What spells do you have that would cause your mirror to waste his time casting? (rgr spells more specifically)
If you throw your best heals up, he'll be healing just as fast as you..so why bother with healing.
Anything you can do to get him to regret attacking you?
How can you slip damage past him.. or how can you cause him to be open to damage, or even hurt himself?

Study your skills. Make a plan. Be agressive in your defense and offense. Outsmart the AI.
